It's an odd feeling hearing a fellow touring human has died. Spending so much time together and then days or years before a few minutes or months of hanging out again. And then one day comes where they just stop showing up for lobby call, ever again Over 30 years ago I met Monty Lee Wilkes when Black Flag played the 1st Ave in Minneapolis. Here was a brief bit where he was mixing Mars Volta opening for Peppers and if you read the back you'll see why he always wore that radio station shirt. Monte was a fascinating friend that will be so much missed Oh the stories he has to tell are endless http://www.ratsound.com/cblog/archives/2006/11/05.html
