There will always be waste, damage and deterioration. And hopefully always be life, growth and healing. Like getting a wound while adventuring, stepping on bugs while walking, burning oxygen while breathing, we can not walk so softly as to cause no impact on our surroundings. To stop is to stagnate and begin to die. And the opposite is true as well, to walk so heavy that all life is poisoned, to completely disregard the balances of life like drinking too much water will lead to your death. There is not a simple child mentality answer, there is striving to not be destructive and wasteful. There is taking into consideration that long after we die, there will be others looking back on our accomplishments and messes. I realize that in many ways for every effort I make to minimize being a part of the mess there will be someone else who does not care and does things way worse than I can imagine. But that should not stop us from trying.
