And this would be my world and view. Got my superwedge cue time delayed to the mains, a nice clear ground level view and my friendly boat anchor of a board. 25 years with #chilipeppers and am thinking I would rather retire than switch to a board I don't want to mix on.

Reading Festival, brown boxes and 10s of thousands of my very best friends all hanging out to see the Chili Peppers.

via Instagram

It's an odd feeling hearing a fellow touring human has died. Spending so much time together and then days or years before a few minutes or months of hanging out again. And then one day comes where they just stop showing up for lobby call, ever again Over 30 years ago I met Monty Lee Wilkes when Black Flag played the 1st Ave in Minneapolis. Here was a brief bit where he was mixing Mars Volta opening for Peppers and if you read the back you'll see why he always wore that radio station shirt. Monte was a fascinating friend that will be so much missed Oh the stories he has to tell are endless http://www.ratsound.com/cblog/archives/2006/11/05.html

The newest Soundtools product is nearly done. The "WallCat" allows 4 balanced XLR lines to mount in an AC wall box. Each WallCat has a RJ45 in and thru. Initially there will be a four mallet or four female XLR version. A 2 male and 2 female version will be available next year. This means you can string inexpensive sheilded cat5/6/7 cable through the building and either use it for high quality audio.

My Crazy Year with Trump

I good read and sounds a lot like touring with a rock band except rather than the singer shouting your name to get more monitors, it's a candidate turning an angry mob crowd on a reporter. Busses, jets, hotels, moving fast and not enough showers.

It's impossible to support Trump without being a hypocrite, and easy to prove. Yet to prove they are a hypocrites you will need to lower yourself to Trump's level and start calling them names, 'hitting them hard' and denying everything. Though I don't recommend following that path, rest assured that if you do, you will find that they do not like being attacked and insulted. They may support that behavior when others are the focus but not if they are the focus of the attack. Don't confuse this with cordial debate or discussion amongst adults. Just start shouting personal insults about the way they look, religion or any disability they may have , interrupt and insult followed by a complete denial that anything you said has any meaning. If they tell you that you said it, just say " no, I shouted it, that's not the same as saying" If you do try this and find someone that embraces this adventure, count that as one non-hypocritical trump supporter. Let me know if you find any.
