And the only thing better than watching Baby Metal rock at Fuji was seeing one of their biggest, well not large big, fans rock out and dancing. Here we get the four devil horn thrown down. Thank you Maddie and Kylie for getting me to go watch and thank you again for pointing out the truest rocker of all.

Not a single living President regardless of party is endorsing Trump. Foolish men or perhaps they know something others don't? Naw, Trump supporters are clearly the wise ones here. Cause we know that with wisdom comes name calling, anger and fear mongering. It's the idiots that remain calm, clear and compassionate and analyze things in logical ways to achieve positive predictable outcomes. Don't you agree?

Back in Japan for a bit before heading to Montreal and today's rock show is Fuji rock festival. 20 year anniversary. And 20 years ago at the old location, I remember there was a Super Typhoon with Peppers leaning at 45 degree angles into the wind while they played and water cascading down in all directions. The next day as the stage sat in 3 feet of water they canceled the remaining days as the stage was sinking into the mud. I believe this is my 4th or 5th Fuji rock and the PA of the day today is a Clair I5 rig. It's been a while since I mixed on one if these, other than they always sound father away than they actually are, I can usually dial them up fairly well. To me they kind of sound like Vertec 's step brother.

I was just about to award Fuji Rock Naeba Hotel the "least desirable breakfast" award of the world tour. Until I realized it is so so much more. How absolutely brilliant is it to combine the routine of eating breakfast with the excitement of going on a scavenger hunt! Unfortunately to me dismay I have discovered I am not a skilled scavenger hunter.

After the traveling the Russian roads on the way to Korea, we had modules go down on both the FOH Midas H3000 and the monitor Digico SD10. Out one of Josh's vocal lines was oscillating. In mons we only lost every single output of the console. Out front Jim repeated the module, on mons we borrowed a spare optical out card from the PA company.

And for for today in Korea and the next show on Sunday, Fuji fest in Japan, we are rocking the B rig setup. A bit smaller, drawmer instead of fatso jr comps on the Vox, no dbx RTA, only one set of drive EQ's and a few others differences. All in all it comes up pretty similar and am nearly as happy on it as I am the A Rig.

I grew up in Hermosa Beech and as a 16 year old, met 2 of the Tychobrahe guys living next to a girl I dated. They told me about big huge sound systems and traveling rock shows. The had a really cool stereo system and I was in awe that people got laid to play with speakers and listen to music. I had no idea that would be my future

Quebec City show and quite a nice layout of brown boxes. Good sized rig, mix position is sufficiently far away at around 175 feet or so and this is pretty darn close to optimum. Environmental factors are looking good with a nice day but not too hot, minimal wind, and now we just need it to cool down a bit at sunset and we'll be happy campers.

PA for the day at Ottawa Bluesfest we have Meyer Milo with a cool center sub end fire arc setup. Not a huge Milo fan but I don't hate it. They work just fine and I especially like the sub setup. I know this layout works well as it is similar to what I use for peppers when we carry PA. Except I use a stereo version for more control. Also I try and minimize distance between the band and fans so I minimize the size of center sub arrays. That said, for the show today, it will be just fine.

A bit grueling flight overnight travel from Moscow to Scotland to do T in the Park. And for today's PA adventure we have a K1, Kara and my first time using the new KS28 subs from L-acoustics. And I must say, the new subs are quite nice. Everything good about an SB28 and they sound faster, louder and clearer.

As we left the Brussels hotel, we end up with an extra human on the crew bus, we tell him, "no no do not get on the bus" which I guess sounds similar to "please, have a nap in the isle" So Jason hero's up and escorts our friend to a nearby location where he can nap without also going to the airport. We then start to drive off, realize we left an actual crew humans stop the bus and our friend thinks we have changed our mind and attempts to reboard the bus. All was done with as much kindness and consideration, and I believe we were as traumatized as he was.

Enjoying unfriending Trump supporters. In the wise words of my wife "Why would anyone vote to elect for Biff from Back to the Future? I do my best to surround myself with wise rather than foolish humans, I try and be generous, kind and compassionate, which are descriptions that not even the most fervent Trump supporters could use to describe that greedy self serving hot head. If you take issue with my position, please unfriend yourself be angry and foolish elsewhere.

Today's PA adventure in Gdansk Poland for Open'er Fest will be the first JBL VTX I have come across this tour cycle. The gig is at an old airport with grassy bunkers to hide airplanes. Huge concrete doors and now the biggest flying thing living in them are hundreds of sparrows with mud nests.

Not sure if the the suicide net on level 3 Copenhagen airport hotel makes me feel more or less comforted. Mid air high speed pic of the turbo prop pulling us to Gdansk Poland. Normally I'm not a fan of hotels that a 300 feet from baggage claim but it's a welcome sight on 2 hours sleep. As was a welcome sight to see this Vacation Movie looking van with a smaller van sticking out its butt that hauled us all to Open'er Fest

A month of travels ahead and Monday's morning C-Street surf before fly away. We finally saw the the start of a the seaweed die off that comes each year when the ocean water warms rapidly and along with it the plethora of washed ashore critters. And those are not orange rocks but rather some sort of egg sacks they seem to be. There were crabs, some empty shark eggs and loads of these little green guys all mixed in with the seaweed salad lining the shore. Sad to be leaving but also not going to miss the smell of decay that is soon to come next. Off to Denmark Roskilde and plentiful worldly rock shows. 12 days home to short and miss Kim and my daughters and little four legged friends already.

Check out these two cool monitor amp racks we have out on Chili Peppers tour. Our monitor eng, @mvanwall asked if @ratsoundsystems would build him racks with all the amps under his console. This powers 4 mixes of quad amped SuperWedge, 1 triamp mix of Rat L-Wedge, 2 biamp ARC mixes, 4 full range MicroWedge 12 mixes, 2 drum thumper mixes and a Rat 21" SuperSub mix plus a spare amp and some spare amp channels. Oh, and we use the Grace mic pre for vocals.
